I describe two new species of the previously monotypic, Chilean endemic nysonine genus Cresson : C. mariastea Packer, sp. nov . and salitrera nov. , redescribe type parvispinosus (Reed) provide an identification key for three species. clear up confusion associated with original material latter by designating a specimen from locality as lectotype The extend range northwards, one over 1000 km. suggest putative hosts all species, which are in genera Tachysphex or Parapiagetia
